Pendekatan Open Ended untuk Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa Sekolah Dasar

This research is motivated by the ability to solve mathematical problems in elementary schools is still not optimal. This study aims to describe the open-ended approach to the problem-solving abilities of elementary school students. The research method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by identifying, assessing, and interpreting all the findings in a study to answer research questions that have been determined previously. This study examines 13 articles on the final results of screening based on inclusion criteria, there are 4 journals using the Classroom Action Research method, 4 journals using quasi-experimental research methods, 2 journals using experimental research methods, 2 journals using quasi-experimental research methods, and 1 journal using quasi?experimental research methods. qualitative research. Based on the analysis of 13 study materials, the results on the application of the open-ended approach to elementary school students increased in each cycle. It can be seen the difference between the results of the application of the open ended approach in the high and low classes, namely in the first cycle of 23%, the second cycle of 5%, and the third cycle of 1.1%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of an open-ended approach can improve the mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students.
