Pemaafan Terhadap Penerimaan Diri Pada Anak Remaja Dalam Keluarga Bercerai

Parental divorce is a family event that may cause significant psychological impacts on children, particularly during adolescence. Adolescents from divorced families often experience difficulties in forgiving painful experiences and face challenges in developing positive self-acceptance. Forgiveness is considered a psychological factor that can help individuals manage negative emotions and foster more adaptive self- acceptance.
This study aims to describe forgiveness and self-acceptance among adolescents from divorced families and to examine the relationship and influence of forgiveness on self- acceptance. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational design was employed. The participants consisted of 120 adolescents from divorced families who were students at SMK Arrusyda Cileungsi, selected using non-probability sampling with a quota sampling technique.
Data were collected using two psychological scales, namely the forgiveness scale and the self-acceptance scale, developed based on the theoretical aspects of each variable. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis through correlation and simple regression tests.
The results indicate a significant positive relationship between forgiveness and self- acceptance among adolescents from divorced families. Furthermore, forgiveness was found to have a positive effect on self-acceptance. These findings suggest that higher

levels of forgiveness are associated with higher levels of self- acceptance. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the field of psychology and to serve as a foundation for psychological interventions focusing on forgiveness development to enhance self-acceptance among adolescents from divorced families.
